Gene Disruption in Chlamydomonas – Plasmids now available
Andre Greiner and colleagues in Peter Hegemann’s lab have just had a manuscript accepted for publication in Plant Cell reporting some exciting advances in using Zinc Finger Nucleases (ZFNs) and CRISPR/cas9 to knockout genes of interest in Chlamydomonas. Here is a link to the manuscript before publication.
Andre Greiner has set up the twitter account (#ChlamyCRISPR) so that people can chat with their lab about their experiences with ZFNs or CRISPR/cas9.
