Postdoctoral position in the Moroney lab at LSU
A postdoctoral position in the area of plant and algal molecular biology/biochemistry is available in the laboratory of James Moroney at Louisiana State University. Current areas of research include the CO2 concentrating mechanism (CCM) of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii and the metabolic roles of carbonic anhydrases in plants and algae. In particular, components of the CCM will be tested in model C3 plants to determine if they can improve CO2 assimilation. The successful applicant would become part of the RIPE project, an international effort to improve photosynthesis in crop plants. The Moroney Lab website is here and details of the position and how to apply are here.
